Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Jernkvern AS (org. no. 938 506 639, Norway), the company that owns and operates Kinfeed (“Kinfeed”, “we”, “us”), processes personal data when you visit kinfeed.com.

This policy covers the marketing website only. The Kinfeed mobile app has its own separate privacy notice, which will be presented in-app.

Data we collect on this website

When you visit kinfeed.com, we may process:

  • Analytics data via Google Analytics 4 (GA4): anonymised IP, page URL, referrer, device type, language, approximate location (country/region), timestamps, interaction events.
  • Cookies and similar technologies strictly necessary for the consent banner and language preference (see our Cookie Policy).

We do not collect names, email addresses, account credentials, payment information, or other identifying data on this website. We do not run advertising pixels.

Lawful basis (GDPR Art. 6)

  • Analytics: Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), captured via the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time using the “Manage cookies” link in the footer.
  • Strictly-necessary cookies: Our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in providing a functioning website.

Data processors

  • Google Ireland Ltd (Google Analytics 4): data may be transferred to the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Data is anonymised at IP level and retained for 14 months.
  • Google LLC (Firebase Hosting): serves the website; processes IP and request metadata for delivery and security.

We have signed a Data Processing Agreement with Google.

The website links to our profiles on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. These are plain links. We do not embed social-media plugins, share buttons, or tracking pixels from these platforms, so no data is sent to them simply by visiting kinfeed.com.

If you follow a link, you leave this website. The platform you land on (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd for Facebook and Instagram; LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company for LinkedIn) becomes the data controller for your activity there, under its own privacy policy. If you interact with our profiles (follow, like, comment, message), the platform may share aggregated statistics about that activity with us. Under GDPR Art. 26 we may be regarded as a joint controller with the platform for such page insights; the platform’s terms set out how responsibility is divided.

Your rights (GDPR Ch. III)

You have the right to:

  • request access to your personal data;
  • request correction or deletion;
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • data portability;
  • lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).

Data retention

  • GA4 data: 14 months, then auto-deleted.
  • Server access logs (Firebase Hosting): up to 30 days.
  • Consent state (your choice on the cookie banner): stored in your browser only, until you clear it.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly process children’s personal data on the marketing site.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change.
